TJ Downes is a website and software developer from Sacramento, CA. TJ has a 17 year background in web and application development. He began his technology career working for a small e-commerce company in West Virginia in 1996, where he discovered ColdFusion. Soon after, TJ built his own e-commerce solution to sell comic books and action figures online. It didn't take him long to become addicted to developing web-based software.

Currently TJ is working with Universal Mind, one of the most kick-ass RIA firms on the planet. He's pretty stoked to be a part of such an incredible team, so unless things change, he's not looking for anything new right now.

He is married to a beautiful woman named Chas and has 2 step-daughters and a 17 year old son. His interests outside of technology include cooking, fishing, hunting, camping, and hopes to someday build a 4x4 truck to explore the Sierra mountain range.
